My Artwork Purchase of the Day

Today there was an art air going on in my city. There was at least 50 vendors selling different handmade crafts. I was hoping to find some fashionable handmade jewelry, since that is my favorite! But it was most very expensive items for the house. I did find an adorable elephant painting that I just had to buy! In case you are interested, you can see more of the artist’s work here.

When it comes to my work pants, I do not like to wash them after only one wear. For my pants, I just do not feel that they get dirty enough for me to have to wash them. I do this for some of my work shirts as well. Then if I wash them, they must be ironed as well (and I absolutely hate ironing). So I try to wear them two or three times before I put them in the dirty pile. Now I have quite a few pairs of pants that I wear consistently. So the problem I end up having is that I cannot keep track of when it is time to wash my pants. Never would I have thought a solution for this problem would exist.

Color Frame Artwork

Today was an arts and crafts kind of day. I painted the frame, dragon flies, and picket fence. Everything is wooden and super cheap. The frame was only $1 and the dragon flies/picket fence were $0.29 each at Michaels. I already had the paint and paintbrush, so this barley cost me anything.

I painted everything first. Then I attached the shapes with hot glue. Easy. The only thing I wish was that a piece of glass was included with the frame to protect my picture. Oh well though!

I am always listening to music! If I am in the shower, getting ready in the morning, blogging, working out, cleaning, and sometimes even reading I am listening to music. Not too long ago, I started scrapbooking for the first time. I have not had as much time to scrapbook as I would like since these past few months have been busy. I am excited because this summer will have more time do that. I have a growing stack of pictures that I want to transform into scrapbook pages. When I do scrapbook, I use just the basic glue. That does not work out for me very well, because I end up having several problems. For one, the items I glue to the main scrapbook page does not always stay stuck to the page. Another problem is if I glue a strip of paper down, the paper ends up being lumpy. The normal glue I use for scrapbooking just does not work for me.

When I think about the makeup I own, I really do not have a lot of eye shadow. Now do not get me wrong, I love it! I think it can really spice up someone’s look and can help make a bolder statement.  I do have a handful of basic neutral colors that I bought to wear to work. I would say I own maybe three or four different colors. Besides that though, I do not have any fun eye shadows or eye shadow that can create a unique look. I think my big hesitation is the price. A small container of one color of eye shadow can easily cost over $5. I just do not want to pay that for a single color.
