November Starbox From Starlooks Review + Pictures

My November Starbox has arrived. This is my second month of receiving Starlooks’ monthly subscription box. In case you missed my October review, please go here to read that. Starbox is a $15 monthly subscription service that contains 3-4 full size products each month. I do not know of a better value that what comes in this service. The November box was their first semi-custom box. Very exciting!

So this month’s box has a pretty leopard print pattern on the lid. A gold ribbon was around the box, but again I somehow lost it before I could snap a picture. The box come with a little handout that includes a woman modeling a look that can be created with the products in the box. The back of the card gives pointers and helpful tips for this box.

As always, I am honest in my review. When I opened the box, it was a tad bit messy. One of the eyeshadow colors popped out of the case due to the postal service being a little rough. Long story short one of the colors was completely crushed. This was not a bad situation though and does not change my views of Starlooks at all. I contacted them and was promptly notified that I would receive a replacement, which I did. They were great about the whole experience.

So now that we have that out of the way, I can tell you about the 3 full sized products I received. My favorite is a compact palette that contains 4 full sized colors! This one product is really like having four full products, as the shadows are the standard size. The next is lipstick in a wintery color. The last item is to help with mascara application, which I will explain below.

So the 4 Shade Eye Shadow Palette is the part of the box that is semi customizable. I received the “medium” shade which is to compliment my medium shade skin tone. Starlooks had sent out an email asking for everyone’s skin tone, which is how they knew to send the right color out. All of the colors are more on the neutral side which allows flexibility in where I am able to wear the colors on my lids.

Each of the four colors are very pigmented and very glittery. I like that a lot. The colors I received are Caricature, Wicked Wink, Coffee Bean, and Void Echo. The card that I mentioned earlier details how to blend the colors together to create the look, so the application process was easy. I love just how much my eyes stand out between having colors that compliment my eyes and the amount of glitter in the shadow. This is a palette that I would keep at home as it does not seem the best to travel with, so I plan on keeping it stashed with my other makeup.

Next up is the lipstick which came in Cream Caramel, which one of Starlook’s Tendergloss  Lipsticks. The color looks like how you would picture it after hearing the name of the color. It is not a pink lipstick, but instead is more of a warm tan color. I noticed with their Tendergloss Lipstick, the color is more shiny and dewy looking as opposed to a more matte lipstick. The look on my lips is more of a mix between lip gloss and lip stick. The color is very natural looking as well, so the color adds the perfect amount of attention to my lips. This product is filled with more surprising than your traditional lipstick!

This next product is sold exclusively in the November box. I was not able to find the product anywhere else on the site, but luckily you can still purchase the November box. Anyways this product is called the 3-in-1 mascara guide/applicator. I have never seen or used a product like this before so it took me a little bit to get the hang of it. Now that I have used it, this is essential to putting on mascara.

Since I could not find directions on how to use this, I may not have the 3 uses 100% correct, but I think I do! So to use this on the top lashes, I place it on my face, so that my eye is looking out of the whole. The top guard prevents my wand from  touching my eye lid.

Then for the bottom lashes, I place the top of the tool right under my bottom lashes, to prevent the color touching the bottom of my skin.

Lastly the end of the tool has two different sides that allows me to separate and even out my lashes. This tool is amazing after I have used it a couple of times. I no longer am even able to accidentally swipe the area around my eye with the mascara wand.

Just like the month before, I am so happy and pleased with my box. This box comes with so many different full size, high quality products that are entirely affordable. Be sure to prepare yourself for the special $99 value December box!

This is something I'd love to try, I"m very curious to see what colors I'd get for December with my light skin tone, I really like your November colors and their customer service sounds excellent. I've never heard of them, but I'm always looking for a good find, and I need a good guide with it (I'm awful at re-creating eyeshadow looks) Thanks for the find & review! With all the "Boxes" out there it's hard to decide which ones to subscribe to.I like this one and especially like that the products are full size instead of a bunch of teeny samples I can get for free somewhere else. Thanks for sharing, I think I will go ahead and order one!!

Oh, wow...I really NEED that lash tool! I have so many frustrations with my eyelashes and mascara, as well as the application of mascara. This would probably stop at least half of my complaining! :)
