The first thing I
do in the morning is check my emails on my phone while I am still in bed. I
woke up yesterday and had an email from Amazon. It was for a $100 gift card to
Amazon courteous of Mr. Rebates. I had
no idea that I had won or which blog I won it from. It was a complete surprise to receive the email. I do not know what I will buy!
I have not been a giveaway enterer for too long.
Since about last August I would say is when I first started. I remember seeing
all these cool giveaways in magazines all the time. One day I finally decided
to start entering magazine giveaways. Then when I entered from all the magazine
websites I could think of, I discovered that there are thousands of giveaways
to enter, especially blog giveaways. Thanks to certain sites that list active giveaways, it was easy to
find ones that interested me.
Since then I have been hooked. I mainly only
enter blog giveaways, since the chances of winning are so much higher compared
to big giveaways advertised in magazines, on TV, etc. I know a lot of people do
not enter giveaways, but I think it is a good investment of a few spare minutes
here and there. Here’s why!
1.
Someone has to win: Nongiveaway
enterers always seem to say “but I am not a lucky person”. Sure it has a little
something to do with luck, but I think it has more to do with consistency. If you
enter a lot of giveaways, your chances are so much higher that you will win a
giveaway. Someone has to win, so why shouldn’t it be you?
2.
Find out about new products: What I
love about blog giveaways is that a lot of the products being given away are
new to me. I like learning about new products through the reviews posted with the giveaway. But also when
I win a giveaway and win a product that is new to me, I get really excited. I
cannot begin to tell you how many products I have discovered since I won them in a giveaway. I
would not have discovered some of these products otherwise.
3.
You sometimes do win big: The
biggest giveaway I have won was for a $1000 Amazon gift card. To me that makes
it totally worth all the time I spent entering giveaways. Plus I get to “buy”
some things for myself that I never would have otherwise.
4.
The feeling when you see you won
something: I love it when I see an email that says I am a winner of a giveaway.
It is so exciting and totally makes my day.
I do not spend a whole lot of time entering giveaways, but I try to squeeze it in when I can. I absolutely love entering giveaways, and checking my email to see if I was a winner!

I feel you. I'm so addicted on giveaways that I can't get my hands off the computer :D
I lost count how many giveaways I've won but never won more than $250 tho :D
I love entering giveaways. I haven't won any cash prizes higher than $15, but I love getting free stuff and trying out new products.
I always thought so too - I NEVER win!! Then I started entering giveaways on a regular basis in 2011 and what do you know? I kept on winning quite a few things, maybe not an $1.000 Amazon GC *faints* but who knows when such an e-mail will roll in? BTW I always do my little happy dance when I receive a winner's notification :-)!
It all started for me last spring when I entered a a contest (ex: Text the word coke to... to win) anyway i won a PS3! So from there I entered more big contests and ended up winning a trip to florida and a samsung galaxy tab. Then I discovered blog contests and I cant even tell you how much I have won. I'm a stay at home mom so I see this as my hobby/job and when the kids are sleeping I'm entering. I still enter big contests but only one time only entries because they have better odds. 3 weeks ago I won a laptop and another tablet from that :D

congratulations! I started entering giveaways about 3 months ago, and I won a 50 dollar gift card once. Since entering a few I've noticed that the amount always goes up because you usually have to follow them. I do so on my reader. Then I've ended up winning more giveaways just because of the amount I'm entered into all the time. congrats on winning! If it was me I'd put it toward a stand mixer. But thats just because I really want one lol.
I love love LOVE when that happens. My favorite would have to be the unexpected thump on the porch. =] I get excited, squeal, and do the happy dance when that happens.
Congratulations! I also enjoy entering Giveaways! I've been doing it for about 6-8 months now. I've won some soap a couple times,$50 William Somona Gift card, $25 American Express gift card, Pair Memory Foam Slippers, Masssage Oil, Pendant & a couple other small items. It sure is exciting to find out you've won something.
I always check my emails first thing in the morning...while I'm still laying in bed! Nothing starts off the day like getting a winning email :) I love entering giveaways just as much as I love hosting them.

I used to fill out the big sweepstakes for a long time. I probably wasted too much time doing that; although, I did win $700 once. That was a big surprise! I like blog giveaways better. I win a lot of small stuff, but like you ... I like enjoying new products that I had never heard of before. I just fill a few out during the day and after the kids go to bed.

same with me, i love entering giveaway, and i'm blessed enough, from 3 giveaway i entered i won i giveaway, even its just small prize i got, but i feel so happy & thankful when i got email and its tell me that's i won. i hope in future there are more blogger want hosting giveaway, and it open world wide.
