Everyone in my house is dedicated to recycling.
We recycle everything we can. It feels good knowing that I am able to help the
environment in a small way. The problem we have is that there is no place to
put the recyclables in the kitchen. We have a free standing garbage can
already, so there is just no room for an additional waste can to store the recyclables
until they go out into the garage. So inevitably the items start
stacking up on the counter or on the floor. It all just becomes a mess.
Rubbermaid
has recreated a new product that solves this dilemma. It is a simple idea, but very
helpful. They have created the 2-in-1 Recycler. This is a slim and compact
container that is able to store the trash on the bottom and the recyclables on
the top. This is the perfect storing solution to solve out problem.
So
the top of the 2-in-1 Recycler stores the recyclables. I just lift the lid up
with my hands and am able to put the items in there. I am so surprised by just
how much I can fit in the container. A milk carton, the newspaper, lots of
magazine, water bottles, cardboard boxes, and more can easily fit within. I
like that I now only empty the container every few days instead of taking the recyclables multiple times a day to the garage.
Then the garbage portion is at the bottom. I just lightly put my foot down on the step have the base tilt out to expose the bin. Something I really like is that the 2-in-1 Recycler features LinerLock™ bag management. What this means is that the bag does not slip when it is holding the garbage. The bag stayed in place for me perfectly.
The
top and bottom section each have handles which makes it very easy to carry. The
2-in-1 Recycler is the same width as our old trash can. It is just a bit
taller. We love this product at our house. It is so nice to not have the
counter cluttered with the recyclables. The Recycler is very lightweight as
well. It does not take up any additional space and makes recycling so much easier. The 2-in-1 Recycler is absolutely great! I have no complaints about it!
