This is the question I always ask myself. I
always have nail polish on, so not wearing any polish is out of the question.
I love it too much. But I can never decide if should spend the money every 2
weeks to get my nails done.
When I do go to the salon, I get acrylics put on. I like having hard and longer nails than I naturally have. Annie, the lady that does my nails, does a great job and I always end up loving my nails. I just hate spending the money. It ends up being $40 a month to go every two weeks.
So I go through cycles. I will get my nails done
for two months and then I tell myself I am just going to paint my nails myself
from now on. (I do not even go back to the salon to get my acrylics taken off,
so my nails end up looking really bad for about a month!). When I try to paint
my nails myself, they end up looking really bad. Plus, I wait until the color
is almost all chipped off until I attempt to paint them again. Point I am
trying to make is that my nails look BAD when I do not go to the salon.
This time, I think I am going to be serious about going to the salon. I can't keep going to work with bad nails. I love having them done, so I think I will spend the extra money to get them done!

Would love to get my nails done at the salon but it costs way to much for our budget - if you can afford it "Go for it"
i'd love to get my nails done but i just can't justify spending so much $ on our budget. i've gotten acrylics put on and they really damage nails so i prefer my natural ones...although i do like the look of acrylics. i love nail polish and it's obv cheaper to do it myself but wish i could get it done professionally...i personally LOVE pedicures- do you? my feet are important and MUST have polish on when i wear open toed shoes!! ;)

Guess there are pros and cons to doing your own nails vs going to a salon. Sometimes I don't do either;). Thanks for the review.

You know I had my nails done one time. It was so much fun and the pampering was great! I do have to confess that I went to the Beauty Academy and had it done. My daughter was going to beauty school there and I got to be one of her clients. It was much more reasonable there too.
