This was about a
week ago. I had been just so busy with school and work that I had not had time
to use it yet. It was sitting so beautifully on my kitchen counter. Now all day
at work today I was craving chocolate chip cookies. I think we can agree that store
bought cookies do not even compare to homemade cookies. When I got home, I
decided it would be a win-win if I made the cookies. I could use my new mixer
and satisfy my relentless sweet tooth.
I sure do understand
why Kitchen Aid can charge a whopping $250 and have people buy it. The mixer is
amazing. I did not have the butter at room temperature when I made the cookies.
I had just taken it right out of the fridge. With a hand mixer, it would have
been a complete nightmare trying to beat up the butter. With my Kitchen Aid
mixer, it was no problem. I also love that I do not have to stand there and mix
the ingredients up. I feel that it saved me countless minutes by allowing myself
to prep the next ingredients while the mixture was mixing.

My tasty chocolate chip cookies!

OVERALL: It is
very pricey, but worth it. I feel that this mixer will last for many years. It
is great at churning up butter, which I dreaded having to do in the past. It
also really mixes up the ingredients thoroughly. If you are a baker and do not
own one of these, put it on your Christmas wish list!

My husband let his mom borrow our mixer and I haven't seen it since. It been almost 3 years now =( LOL You're totally right though, a mixer is def. worth the price!

OHMIGOSH I actually don't know what I would do if my kitchenaid mixer died. I'll be honest, I'd probably go out at any time of day or night and buy myself a new one. Now that I have it I can't go back!!

I saw the mixer being sold on QVC or HSN and wanted one so bad. But I don't have the room or the storage spot for it. Plus I wouldn't know what to make.
but I want one! hehehe
I was just discussing this with a friend last week! I don't do a whole lot of baking, but have been thinking of buying a mixer so it didn't feel like such a chore to be doing everything by hand. I started looking for a mixer and when I saw the price tag, I freaked! I couldn't believe it. I don't think I could talk my husband into agreeing, without already having demonstrated my commitment to more baking! I'm still interested though, and these reviews really help. :)
This is so funny! I have a KitchenAid Mixer too. Hubby bought it for me a few years ago in the hopes I'd get in the kitchen and make more stuff with it. I think I've only used it like 7 or 8 times. He's not a happy camper. Sad thing is, I keep buying attachements for it telling myself things like "Well, if I had the slicer I'll make home made au gratin potatoes more". That mixer is a money pit for me. I have an addiction for buying the accessories but not using it. Hopefully I can find some recipes that get me motivated!
Thanks for stopping by Theresa's Mixed Nuts! I'm returning the blog love and folling GFC :)
Happy Thanksgiving!!

Yep mixers are neat. So are blenders.

Hi! I Stumbled this and totally agree - I LOVE my KitchenAid.
P.S. I'm happy to be your newest follower :) Hope to see you back at yummymummykitchen.com
I had to give my Kitchen Aid Mixer to my daughter when we moved into our motorhome. I miss it sooo much! When I visit my daughter, I make excuses to do a little baking. :0)
100 percent agree with your post title! I was lucky enough to be able to always use my moms and then when I got my house, I received my grandmother's. There is absolutely no way I could live without mine. Enjoy and cheers to many happy baking experiences with your Kitchen Aid.
I have 3...my oldest is 30 years old and still a great workhorse.
You will never regret buying this kitchen tool. Those cookies look great..:0)
